Ultra Finishing Limited

Revolutionary customer visibility aligned with a strategy to optimise cost and service

Our Client

Ultra Finishing Limited are the largest independent suppliers of bathroom products in the UK and own the following brands – Ultra, Downton Abbey, Hudson Reed, Premier Bathroom Collection, Old London and Balterley Furniture. They offer direct, door to door, pallet, dropship and container deliveries from their UK distribution centres.  The business has grown through a series of mergers, acquisitions and diversification over the last 30 years and recent expansion has seen them distributing to the US, UAE and Australia. The success of the business is based on providing the latest bathroom designs, manufactured to the highest standard, backed up by market leading guarantees and exceptional customer service.

The Situation

In 2015, Ultra Finishing Limited launched a revolutionary trade portal, customers would be able to check stock availability, place orders, track deliveries, pay invoices and keep up-to-date with their promotions and business developments. Offering this detailed visibility requires much more than basic "track and trace" functionality, visibility is a prerequisite to supply chain agility and responsiveness.  Ultra Finishing Limited needed a partner to support and take control over their physical supply chain and logistics activates. Advanced Supply Chain understood that Ultra's multi-tiered global supply chain needed a collaborative synchronisation of both inbound and outbound events to maintain their business growth and customer promises.
